When we released the Quantico in 2021, our plan was to make a doublestack 1911 that doesn’t look like the doublestacks being produced today. Our guns are built using the old school methods: hand fit and finished by Americans, in America using American-made parts, so we knew our HiCap needed to have that retro flair. Now we are excited to offer its slightly shorter brother: The Quantico HiCap Carry.

The Quantico HiCap Carry has all of the same features and options as it’s big brother, but with a 4.25″ barrel. It features our accuracy guarantee of better than 1.5” at 25 yards, an Ambi Thumb Safety, Red Fiber Optic Front Sight, extended Slide Stop, and a 30Lpi Hand Checkered Mag Catch. Starting in the 4th Quarter of 2023, the Quantico High Cap will have a new high undercut grip module made from Carbon Fiber and Kevlar Polymer. The Bead Blast Blue finish is completely unique in the 1911/HiCap market and retains as much of the John Browning style as possible and will show those classic signs of honest wear the more you run it. However, we don’t think JMB would mind if you choose the optional Hard Chrome or DLC finishes.
Just when you thought the Quantico HiCap couldn’t get any more American, we’ve decided to offer it in both 9mm and the 2 World War-winning .45 ACP. Imagine the power of having 11+1 rounds of JMB’s preferred cartridge in your 1911 with a standard-length magazine, or the ability to hold 14+1 rounds of .45 ACP with the extended magazine (they’re marked for 13 rounds but will hold an extra round in case you need it). Now, if you aren’t ready for that much power, you can always opt for the European 9mm and carry 17+1 with the standard magazine or 20+1 with the extended-length magazine. Either way, when you shoot a Quantico HiCap, you’ll have the pleasure of operating a gun built from American parts and hand-fitted by some of the finest gunsmiths in the country.
